Not Sailing!

One of the four Maersk owned container ships anchored off Cumbrae and Bute recently. This one was just off Bute and, like the others, was waiting to proceed up into Loch Striven for a longer term anchorage.

Three of the Maersk ships featuring the accomodation block in the centre of the vessel are only recent builds - 2006 & 2007, but are too large to be as cost effective as previously hoped due to the present down-turn in container shipping.
